After your Appointment
- Avoid touching the treated area. Keep your skin clean by gently applying an antiseptic 2-3 times a day - more often if dirt and perspiration are present.
- Makeup may be applied after treatment if desired. A fresh hypoallergenic formula is recommended. Avoid oil based makeup.
- Avoid using heavy creams, AHAs, and anti-aging products including retinoids and retinols for at least 48 hours after treatment. Use caution between and prior to treatments.
- Avoid submerging the treated area in hot tubs, or river/lake swimming for 48 hours after treatment.
- Keep area clean, cool, and dry for 8 hours post treatment.
- DO NOT tweeze or wax the areas being treated. The hair may be shaved or cut in between treatments, if desired. When you come in for future treatments, please be sure that the hair is long enough to be removed with tweezers during your treatment.
- Hair responds best to treatments done while the hair is in the growing phase. DO NOT wait more than 6 weeks between treatments. This will help treat the hairs while they are in a growing phase. You can book your next appointment here.
- DO NOT tan the area being treated for at least 48 hours after treatment. This can result in changes in pigmentation. If tanning/sun-exposure is unavoidable, please use a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 35.
It is normal to experience redness and swelling of the treated area for up to 24 hours after treatment. Although it is uncommon, scabbing can sometimes occur. DO NOT pick these areas as it can result in permanent scarring. Applying an antibiotic ointment sparingly to the effected area will help speed the recovery.
